Lobre Products: Optical Mirrors
For 80 years, Lobre has been designing and manufacturing precision optical mirrors with custom configurations. Each design is developed to meet the specific application requirements of clients in Italy and abroad.
Available geometries include: flat mirrors, electroformed mirrors, dielectric mirrors, convex spherical mirrors and concave spherical mirrors.

High-Performance
Optical Products
Our optical engineers design and manufacture various models (concave, convex, flat, electroformed, free-form) with specific characteristics, ensuring full customisation of dimensions, geometries, coatings and surface treatments.
Lobre has long-standing expertise in producing first-surface, free-form, optical mirrors, where the mirror contours can be fabricated with complex geometries, including custom steps, holes and/or specific angled features.
Thanks to our decades of experience in the industry and our advanced equipment, we deliver optical mirrors that achieve surface tolerances up to λ/50 and reflectivity up to 99%. This is made possible through metallic coatings (in aluminium, protected and/or enhanced silver or pure gold) and dielectric coatings, all applied via PVD vacuum deposition with ion-assisted plasma sources.
Flat Mirrors
Flat mirrors are optical elements that reflect light beams at first surface without altering their direction thanks to highly stable surfaces and high reflectivity.
Concave and Convex Mirrors
These optical components are used to control the convergence or divergence of light beams: concave mirrors focus light, while convex mirrors expand it.
Electroformed Mirrors
With unconventional shapes, these mirrors are produced by depositing selected metals onto a mould, ensuring reflectivity, lightweight structure and high surface quality.
Free-Form Mirrors
Components with complex geometries, ideal for the most advanced and compact optical systems. These mirrors allow beam control even in non-symmetrical configurations.

Materials for
optical mirrors
At Lobre, we design custom precision optical mirrors: we use carefully selected materials based on the application context and the specific needs of each project.
We work with quartz, N-BK7, sapphire, Zerodur, Borofloat, Germanium and many other materials, also applying surface treatments to produce anti-reflective mirrors, high-reflectivity mirrors, semi-reflective mirrors and more.

Space and Aerospace
Optical mirrors for telescopes, targeting systems and navigation equipment, optimised to withstand the most extreme conditions.
Vision Systems
Optical mirrors for industrial applications, used in compact, high-efficiency and advanced optical configurations.
Speed Detection - I.T.S.
Integrated into traffic monitoring devices, optical mirrors are ideal for radar and lidar scanners.
Biomedical
Optical mirrors for imaging systems and microscopes enable advanced and accurate diagnostic procedures.
Security
Integrated into 24/7 surveillance systems, cameras and optical sensors, mirrors ensure minimal light dispersion and long-term reliability.
Laser
Optical mirrors designed for laser-based applications, marking and metrology, capable of handling high power levels and specific wavelengths.
Lighting
Optical mirrors used in precision lighting systems to direct or focus light, with an emphasis on efficiency and compact design.
Optical mirrors are used to deflect, reflect and manipulate light beams without adding optical power to the system.
Their versatility, combined with high reflectivity, customisable surface finishes and excellent mechanical stability, makes them ideal for a wide range of applications.
Aerospace, biomedical, industrial vision, security and lighting are among the primary sectors where these optical components are widely employed.
