At Lobre, together with our in‑house team of engineers, we carry out the production of custom industrial optical systems.
Since 1945, we have manufactured components in series or in small batches (with no minimum or maximum quantity), providing tailored solutions for industries, OEMs, research centres and universities.
Thanks to a fully integrated production structure, we manage all stages in‑house (design, production, assembly, and testing). This production process allows us to deliver high‑precision custom optics with demanding quality standards, while minimising the risk of damage and optimising manufacturing efficiency.
In addition to standard production, we offer a complete reverse engineering service, implementing improvements on legacy designs upon request.

Every Lobre product is crafted and inspected using innovative equipment, including:
- Optotech OWI XT INVERS interferometers, with Zygo MetroPro™,
- Agilent Cary 5000 spectrophotometers with UMA system, Shimadzu, and Filmmetrics,
- Zygo ZeGage Pro HD optical profiler and roughness meter,
- Spherometers,
- Trioptics Opticentric™, Optisurf™ and Optispheric™ systems for verifying optical centring, performing lens bonding, and evaluating lens assembly performance (EFL control, MTF, and active alignment).
We employ cutting‑edge technologies tailored for critical phases of production:
- double‑sided polishing and super-polishing for unprecedented quality on flat optics (wavefront and parallelism),
- fabrication of free‑form geometry components during optical centring,
- polishing via the HydroSpeed® method and (upon request) active corrections guided by interferometry using the Active Fluid‑Jet Polishing (A‑FJP) technique.
